ModVala Credits Policy

Effective date: 01 June 2026

This Credits Policy is part of the ModVala Terms of Service. It explains how Free credits and Premium credits work inside the ModVala Android app, what they can be spent on, and how billing, expiry and refunds are handled.

This is a production-ready draft for app launch, but it should still be reviewed by a qualified lawyer in Maharashtra, India before public release.

1. Two types of credits

ModVala uses two separate, non-interchangeable credit buckets:

Free credits and Premium credits are tracked independently. Free credits cannot be used where Premium credits are required, and Premium credits are not consumed for actions that already accept Free credits.

Once you have created your first vehicle QR using Free credits, every additional vehicle QR is treated as a Premium-credit action (see Section 5).

6. Credit packs (one-time purchases)

Both Free and Pro users can top up Premium credits at any time by purchasing a one-time credit pack from inside the app. Credit packs are sold through Google Play Billing.

Credit packs add to your existing Premium credit balance and do not change your subscription state. Purchased Premium credits are subject to the same monthly reset rule and do not carry forward beyond the calendar/billing month in which they were purchased, unless ModVala explicitly states otherwise inside the app at the time of purchase.

Both Free and Premium credit balances reset at the start of each billing month. Unused credits, including bonus credits and credits purchased through credit packs, do not carry forward to the next month unless ModVala explicitly states otherwise inside the app at the time the credits are issued.

Free credits granted to a user remain available to that user's account only and cannot be transferred between accounts.

9. Billing, renewal and cancellation

The ModVala Pro subscription and all credit packs are billed through Google Play Billing using RevenueCat as the payment-management provider. Pro subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period until cancelled by the user in their Google Play account settings. Cancelling Pro stops future renewals but does not refund the current month; you keep Pro benefits and unused credits until the end of the paid period.

If a payment fails, Pro benefits and Premium credit grants for that billing period may be paused until the payment succeeds.

10. Refunds

Refunds for the ModVala Pro subscription and for credit packs are handled by Google Play under their refund policy. ModVala does not directly process refunds. To request a refund, users should follow Google Play's standard refund process.

Credits that have already been spent inside the app are not refundable. Where Google Play refunds a purchase, the corresponding credits and/or Pro entitlement may be revoked from the user's ModVala account.

11. Misuse and abuse

ModVala may reverse, withhold or revoke credits that were obtained or used through fraud, abuse, exploitation of bugs, automation, multiple accounts, false quiz answers, payment chargebacks or violations of the Terms of Service, Community Guidelines or applicable law.

12. Changes to this policy

ModVala may update credit prices, action costs, monthly allowances, bonuses and credit pack contents from time to time. Where changes are materially adverse to existing users, ModVala will provide at least 7 days' prior notice via in-app notification or email. Continued use of credits after the effective date of an updated policy constitutes acceptance.
